Jetlag

Finally! Alec stayed awake all day today and crashed at 6 p.m. It's amazing what jetlag can do to a little boy. We were watching tv in his bedroom and you could tell Alec was almost asleep. He was responding very slowly to my questions and blinking very slowly; though I tried to keep him awake there was nothing I could do. He fell asleep on his dinner and NOT getting up. Spaghetti sauce was all over his face but it didn't bother him. A few minutes later I then realized that I was thinking very slowly and blinking really heavily. Maybe we are both finally get over our jetlag.

Almost, not quite there yet...

Alec has been sleeping during the day for the last couple of days because of the jetlag. He woke up at exactly 5 minutes after midnight -- and continue to stay awake until the sun has rised.

Today, Alec is trying so hard to stay awake and too tired to play outside.
Alec: "Can I rest my eyes, now?"
Me: "But you're doing so good, though. Shall we drive your fire truck and squart your toys?"
Alec: "I am so almost grumpy"
