1. Alec refused to go to school today, but went anyway. When he got home, with a 'coarse-y' voice, he said: "Mom, I don't feel good"
Me: "Oh no, your voice sounds like it hurts to talk"
Alec (softly said): "You ruined my l i f e"
Me: "I'm very sorry. How did I ruin your life?"
Alec: "You made me go to school, today"

2. Alec loves to play puppet, especially involving his teddy bear.
Alec: "Make Teddy talk, Mom"
Me (pretend to be Teddy): "Hi Alec, do you want to tell me what you did today?"
Alec: "Teddy, I made cookies with Mom. She let me to do it by my self, but she needs to tell me what to do first. We then did numbers and letters and play games, and...um, and did a lot of stuff. I rode bicycle, too, and jump really-really high from the boxes"
Me (pretend to be Teddy): "O-wow. Can I play with you, too? Can we go to your bedroom, NOW?"
Alec: "Yes, but you have to wait until Mom is done with her homework"
Me (pretend to be Teddy): "Why?"
Alec: "Well, you can't really talk by your self"

3. I was on-line shopping for Sam when Alec interrupting and says: "What are you doing, Mom?"
Me: "I'm trying to buy Sam some toys to play because she basically plays whatever toys you have"
Alec: "That's a cool tiny kitchen! Is that for baking cookies?"
Me: "Yes. But for playing, though. Not the real baking"
Alec: "Hey! That's for boys and girls! Isn't that funny? Can you buy me that?"
Me: "I was going to buy it for Sam, it's her turn to get toys. But she can share her toys with you"
Alec: "Well. I'm going to buy it from MY computer, then..."
Alec left.
Alec comes back and said: "...as soon as Daddy fix my computer"
