1. In one of our Saturdays I tagged Alec along to the office to get some packages from his Grandma Nancy. The AC in my car is broken and it became too hot to drive downtown for more than 20 minutes. I rolled the window down, but Alec dislikes the exhaust from other cars. So I took the roof off and the sun made him hard to see the road. He did not complain. He wore long sleeve t-shirt and looked miserable. I asked: "Do you want me to roll your sleeves up, sweetie?" He said: "No thank you, Mom. The sleeves are protecting me from the sun. Don't worry, I'll be alright, we almost there"
2. I just got back from Jakarta and saw a big bag of chocolate nougats by Sean's end table. I excitedly asked: "Hey, whose chocolates are these?" Alec calmly answered: "Don't bother to eat it, Mom. It tastes like Play Doh"
Hmm...I wonder how he knows Play Doh tastes like...
3. Sean's office has a great view of the city. We can see a whole lot including the train station and its activities. Alec always fascinated with trains and asked a lot of questions when he had a school field trip out to the train station. When he visited Sean's office, he said: "Mom, SOMEDAY Mom, only someday, I want to walk on the train track when no trains around. But someday, Mom, and I will be very, very careful"
4. Alec: "A night before Christmas I want to stay up all night to wait for Santa"
Me: "Why?"
Alec: "Well, I want to talk to him, because, I've been sending him letters that I want a motorbike before Christmas, but it never get here!"
5. Alec: "Mom, I want to buy motorcycle, today"
Me: "I thought we talked about this already and you know the answer to that, don't you? Just out of curiousity, why is it so important that you want it today?"
Alec: "I want to ride it to school. I don't think mba Astuti needs to take me to school anymore".
6. Alec: "Mom! Look! Did you see me? Did you see me?"
Me: "I did! I saw you"
Alec: I rode bicycle by myself! Isn't that cool? Did you take a picture of me?"
Me: "I sure did, do you want to see it?
Alec: "Can you show it to Daddy, when he's not staying in the hotel?"
