1. Alec and I waited in the car whilst Sean went off to the Mall to buy some movie tickets for our tonight's date.

Alec: "Mom, I want to go to the mall with Daddy"
Me: "He needs to buy movie tickets only. He will be back before you know it"
Alec: "I want to play there, Mom"
Me: "Not today, sweetie"
Alec: "But I need to buy some books..."
Me: "What kind of books do you need?"
Alec: "Mmm...just books. You know..."
Me: "No...I don't know. Why don't you tell me?"
Alec: "You know... like Thomas book... and...and Bob the builder book... those kind of books".
Me: "Really? You haven't touched Thomas and Bob's book for a very long time. I thought you are over them"
Alec: "Me? Noooo...can we go to the mall, now?"

2. A half of our master bedroom's wall covered with mirror that we enherited from our predecessor. Alec was writing on the mirror with a board marker.

Me: "Don't you have a white board to write instead of mirror?"
Alec: "I do. But this is more fun"
Me: "It looks dirty. Wipe it off, please"
Alec: "Daddy says ok"
Me: "Really?"
Alec: "Can I write on the mirror, Dad?"
Sean: "Sorry, Alec. It does look dirty"
Alec: "Mom, it was ok yesterday. But tonight Daddy says I can't"
