We are still in awe for Alec to loose a tooth 4 days ago. Today we are surprised to have 2 molars cutting in.
1. Alec: "Mom, some of my classmates will swim tomorrow and some will do some art. And I will do some art"
Me: "I think you will miss art, because we have dentist appointment tomorrow"
Alec: "O-nnNo! You need to tell my teacher!"
Me: "I already did. And you can go back to class afterward"
Alec: "I think it's going to take a while. By the time I'm done, the school will be over"
Me: "O, really?"
Alec: "Yeah. Sorry. And If I'm good, the dentist will have something for me. They used to have some suckers or stickers or I don't know what they have, now"
Me: "How did you get so smart?"
Alec: "Because I am already 5. We get smart that way"
2. Alec: "Mom, will my dentist give me a wire for my teeth?"
Me: "You mean braces? I don't think so"
Alec: "Why?"
Me: "Because you still have your baby teeth. You only need braces when your grown up teeth need a fix"
Alec: "But I'm five already"

Do you punish Alec or giving him time outs a lot ? I am struggling not to give my son time outs, but it seems there is no way out for 4-5 year old, doesn't it ?
wouuuww he is 5. time flies so fast...... ;o)
