Serdang Trip

1. We went beyond planting trees. We went to the swamp, it smell unpleasant. So, I decided to take Alec to the shop to cool off and have a drink (instead of having him splash around the mud). I ordered a few young coconut to take home for Astuti and Aunti as "oleh-oleh" (a taste from the local produce) from Serdang Bedagai. I then realized that I forgot my purse. I don't have any choice, but to wait for Sean to pay the coconut.
Alec: "Mom, I miss Daddy. When are we going to go home?"
I played a little trick on Alec...
Me: "O we're not going back home...
This is our home, now. But you're going to love it, because there is no school and no homework, no electricity, no toys to carry around...you can play the biggest, beautiful white sand pit you've ever had in your life. So yeah, this is our home, now"
Alec: "So what are we waiting for? Let's play the sand AGAIN!"

Nothing scare this kid...

2. Alec and I played on the beach while Sean plant the rest of the tree in the swamp. We came across an unidentified animal by the shore and Alec asked: "What is that, Mom? Not that I don't know anything, I just don't know that species"

3. The white sand beach at Serdang Bedagai was very, very hot. We played for a long time at the beach and drank some cold drink at the "warung". There are bricks laying all over the place and Alec said: "Mom! I have this awesome idea. Why don't we put the bricks by the shower entry so our feet will not get burn!"

4. The CatAlec took a picture of this cat. When he was done, he added: "Done. Now, Sammy will be sooooo happy. Even tough she's not coming with us"
(note: Sammy loves Serafina the cat, from Barbie movie.
Isn't he darling?)
