I barely finished my on-line exam from FSI when Alec returned from school.
Alec: "Come with me, Momma, let's go to the constructions room." and dropped his backpack on the floor.
Me: "Why don't we take your backpack along with us to your bedroom"
Alec: "That's ok, it's pretty safe here. Nobody will take my backpack. Trust me"
In his bedroom...
Alec: "Now, what would you like to do today?"
Me: "I don't know. What about painting? We can paint some rocks this time"
Alec: "I actually don't want to do that"
Me: "Ok... what do YOU want to do?"
Alec: "Well, let's see, I have this blue paper, crayons, markers, I'm going to make a rainbow! And three motorcycles and tanks. You got that, Mom?"
Me: "That's pretty random. You can ask me do you understand, Mom? instead of you got that? Because you sounds upset that way".
Alec: "I'm not upset. But Albert was upset with me at school. He pushed me, and I can't pushed him back because I don't have enough muscle in me. I have to exercise first to grow my muscle"
Such an intellectual conversation I have, eh?
