After drooling watching all the gifts under the tree, Alec was so excited when he was told he can open two gifts (that his parents chose). It was (surprise, surprise) 2 books by Beatrix Potter. He then tried to manipulate his parents in their moment weakness by acting really cute and asked whether other gifts (like the one shaped like a golf set) were also books. When we told him ‘no’, he then guessed whether it was a crane and an excavator. When he got the same answer, he stopped. We spent the rest of the night reading Christmas’ story book.
